The way I like to tell it, I started my own law firm back in 1993, because frankly, a big law firm wasn’t big enough. Not big enough for my ego which balked at doing the grunt research without the glamor of arguing the cases or meeting with clients. Not even big enough to fit two little words — my name — on the top line of the briefs or on the nameplate on the door.

Back then, I was a lawyer ahead of schedule. By starting my own law firm, I made partner before I turned thirty and became a business owner long before the dotcom boom of the late ’90s made entrepreneurship at once desirable and virtually mainstream. I was also one of the first law firms to recognize and harness the power of the Internet: my firm has had an email account since 1994 and with the upload of a law firm website (which I hand-coded myself) in 1995, I joined the the first generation of law firms on-line and in 2002, I was part of the first generation of lawyer-bloggers.

Not big enough for my ego...", that's not correct, she was sacked by a 'BigLaw' firm because her work was not up to their standards and she could not find any others to employ her so she only had one way to go. She goes on to say; "...at doing the grunt research...", she must be joking, we know her 'research' is 'hit & miss' (i.e. mix-up people's names, don't know .com from .co.uk causing her to make outrageous allegations, click here). If in the first place, after reading the email that I had sent to her, she had done her 'research' correctly and apologised for her mistakes it would have all been forgotten long ago.

"I made partner before I turned thirty..." around 1993 Duncan & Allen, a D.C.-based energy law boutique, told her that she wasn't "partnership material" and gave her six months to find a new job and with no other firms queuing-up to employ her the only option open was to start up as a 'Solo Practitioner'. Question, if you are a 'Solo Practitioner' how can you be a 'Partner' when there are no others on the firm?

"I was part of the first generation of lawyer-bloggers" don't we know, she is like a plague of locusts all over the Internet telling everyone how clever she is.

As I've said before if you Yanks on that side of the 'Pond' believe just half the crap that this 'Solo' over there is dribbling all over you, you must be some of the doziest humans to ever have walked on planet Earth.
